Job Title: Molecular/Cellular Biology Expert

Job Type: Contract, Part-time

Location: Remote

Job Summary

Join our customer's innovative team as a Molecular & Cellular Biology Research Scientist, where you will drive cutting-edge discovery by evaluating mechanisms of action, genetic models, pathway biology, and omics data. Utilize your expertise to enhance scientific rigor, support AI model training, and advance impactful biomedical research – all from the flexibility of a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and critique molecular and cellular biology experiments, including assay design, controls, and reproducibility strategies.
  • Analyze pathway biology, biomarker strategies, gene function, and validation studies for robust mechanistic insights.
  • Assess omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and advanced imaging data for scientific accuracy and interpretation.
  • Evaluate the application of genetic and knockout/CRISPR models in addressing research questions.
  • Design, interpret, and document experimental approaches to inform research best practices.
  • Provide structured scientific feedback and evaluations to support AI model training and research quality assurance.
  • Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively with team members through strong written and verbal skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline; or MS/BS with 8+ years of relevant hands-on research experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory research in academic or industry settings (biotech/pharma preferred).
  • Expertise in experimental design, wet-lab methodology, and literature analysis.
  • Deep understanding of genetic modeling, omics interpretation, and pathway analysis.
  • Proven ability to critically evaluate scientific data and experimental outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity in scientific reporting and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating data for AI-enabled or computational biology research.
  • Background in functional genomics, biomarker discovery, or high-throughput screening.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize scientific findings into actionable insights for interdisciplinary teams.

Required Skills

  • Genetic Modeling
  • Experimental Design
  • Omics Interpretation
  • Pathway Analysis
