Job Summary:

Join our customer’s team as a Wolof Language Expert AI Trainer, helping shape the next generation of language technologies. You will utilize your deep Wolof proficiency to provide high-quality editing, writing, and translation, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance in a fast-paced, collaborative remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver expert-level translation and localization of diverse content between Wolof and English.
2. Edit and proofread Wolof language materials for clarity, grammar, and cultural appropriateness.
3. Write original content in Wolof, adhering to project requirements and style guidelines.
4. Provide linguistic feedback to improve AI language models and training datasets.
5. Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and engineers to meet quality and deadlines.
6. Conduct quality assurance reviews to uphold accuracy and consistency.
7. Maintain clear written and verbal communication with team members to resolve linguistic queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Native or near-native proficiency in Wolof, with an in-depth understanding of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances.
2. Proven experience in editing, writing, and translating Wolof content.
3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
6. Familiarity with linguistic data annotation is an advantage.
7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as an AI Trainer or similar role in language technology projects.
2. Background in linguistics, translation studies, or related field.
3. Experience working with cross-functional international teams.
