Description

Role Overview

  • Mercor is seeking senior accounting and audit professionals to build evaluation tasks for AI systems operating in Fortune 500 accounting contexts.

  • The workflows are calibrated to the reporting obligations, control environments, and transaction complexity of Fortune 500 and large public companies.

  • Contributors design enterprise accounting scenarios, produce reference work, and write rubrics that reflect senior controllership and audit judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct scenarios across F500 corporate accounting and controllership, including multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations under ASC 810.

  • Build SEC reporting tasks (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy) for $10B+ public companies.

  • Develop F500 SOX programs at scale, including environments with 300+ key controls and integrated audits.

  • Author tasks on technical accounting under ASC 606, 842, 805, and 740 at multi-billion revenue scale, plus IFRS-to-US-GAAP conversions for multinational F500.

  • Work with enterprise ERPs (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP) as deployed in F500 finance functions; write rubrics that distinguish senior technical accounting reasoning from textbook recall.

Ideal Qualifications

  • 5+ years in corporate accounting, controllership, or technical accounting at a Fortune 500 or large public company, OR at a Big 4 firm auditing F500 / Fortune 100 clients (PCAOB engagements).

  • Direct experience with SEC reporting, SOX programs, and enterprise close cycles at material scale.

  • Fluency in enterprise ERP environments and in technical accounting standards as applied at F500 revenue scale.

  • Prior rubric, training-content, or technical accounting authorship is a plus.

Compensation Note

  • Hourly Pay: $70 to $95 per hour, set by Mercor based on demonstrated expertise.

  • Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week.

  • Onboarding via the Mercor Rubric Academy, a paid program that calibrates contributors to the quality bar before live work.

  • Advancement: strong contributors move into reviewer, lead, and domain SME roles with elevated rates.
