Role Overview

Mercor is seeking experienced finance professionals to work on a premier AI project with one of the top research labs in the world. This opportunity involves crafting high-quality finance problems and golden solutions to help train and assess advanced AI systems. Experts from diverse finance backgrounds — including corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, and consulting — are encouraged to participate. The engagement is project-based and expected to last 15-30 days, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Design challenging, domain-relevant finance tasks across multiple specializations

• Write accurate and well-structured solutions to finance tasks

• Develop clear, consistent reasoning flows.

• Ensure clarity, correctness, and alignment with professional finance standards

• Provide written feedback or clarification notes where needed

Ideal Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a finance-focused role (e.g., investment banking, FP&A, Big Four accounting, finance consulting)

• Strong grasp of key financial concepts (e.g., discounted cash flow, financial modeling, capital structure, working capital, ROI/IRR analysis)

• Excellent written communication and attention to detail

• Familiarity with problem design or technical writing is a plus
