Description

Mercor is seeking expert evaluators to support a high-impact evaluation workflow in partnership with a leading AI research lab.

This project focuses on the Environmental Science domain, where you will assess agent-generated research reports related to climate data, pollution measurements, resource consumption, species population tables, and weather patterns.


Who We're Hiring

We are looking for evaluators with a background in Environmental Science, Biology (with an Environmental focus), Ecology, Climate Science, or related fields.

This role is ideal for professionals who have:

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in Environmental Science, ecological research, sustainability analysis, or related roles

  • Experience working with climate datasets, environmental monitoring systems, or pollution measurement reports

  • Hands-on exposure to analysing resource consumption data (water, energy, land use, etc.)

  • Experience interpreting species population tables, biodiversity data, or ecosystem assessments

  • Familiarity with weather pattern analysis and environmental trend reporting

  • Experience sourcing and validating environmental datasets, tables, and scientific statistics from credible public sources

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Comfort working independently and asynchronously

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Climate Science, Sustainability Studies, or a related field

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate agent-generated research reports for accuracy, relevance, data integrity, and clarity

  • Assess the correctness of insights derived from climate data, pollution metrics, and resource consumption reports

  • Verify species population data, environmental tables, and weather-related statistics using reputable public and scientific sources

  • Identify inconsistencies in environmental analysis, ecological reporting, and sustainability assessments

  • Work independently to complete evaluations within deadlines

  • Maintain consistency and precision across all assigned tasks


Role Details

  • Part-time (20–40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling

  • Competitive rates: $40–$60/hour depending on expertise
