Description

Mercor is seeking expert evaluators to support a high-impact evaluation workflow in partnership with a leading AI research lab.

This project focuses on the Scientific Research domain, where you will assess agent-generated research reports related to experimental data, statistical analyses, research findings comparisons, chemical compound properties, and environmental measurements.


Who We're Hiring

We are looking for evaluators with a background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related scientific disciplines.

This role is ideal for professionals who have:

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in laboratory research, scientific analysis, or applied research roles

  • Experience working with experimental datasets, laboratory measurements, or controlled study results

  • Strong understanding of statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and data interpretation

  • Experience comparing research findings across multiple studies and evaluating methodological soundness

  • Familiarity with chemical compound properties, material data, or physical measurement standards

  • Experience interpreting environmental measurements or field data, where applicable

  • Experience sourcing and validating scientific tables, datasets, and peer-reviewed research from credible academic sources

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Comfort working independently and asynchronously

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate agent-generated research reports for accuracy, relevance, data integrity, and clarity

  • Assess the correctness of experimental interpretations, statistical analyses, and research comparisons

  • Verify scientific tables, compound properties, and measurement data using reputable academic and public sources

  • Identify inconsistencies in methodology, data reporting, and scientific conclusions

  • Work independently to complete evaluations within deadlines

  • Maintain consistency and precision across all assigned tasks


Role Details

  • Part-time (20–40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling

  • Competitive rates: $40–$60/hour depending on expertise
