Mercor is seeking expert evaluators to support a high-impact evaluation workflow in partnership with a leading AI research lab.
This project focuses on the Scientific Research domain, where you will assess agent-generated research reports related to experimental data, statistical analyses, research findings comparisons, chemical compound properties, and environmental measurements.
Who We're Hiring
We are looking for evaluators with a background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related scientific disciplines.
This role is ideal for professionals who have:

2–3 years of professional experience in laboratory research, scientific analysis, or applied research roles

Experience working with experimental datasets, laboratory measurements, or controlled study results

Strong understanding of statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and data interpretation

Experience comparing research findings across multiple studies and evaluating methodological soundness

Familiarity with chemical compound properties, material data, or physical measurement standards

Experience interpreting environmental measurements or field data, where applicable

Experience sourcing and validating scientific tables, datasets, and peer-reviewed research from credible academic sources

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent written communication skills

Comfort working independently and asynchronously
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate agent-generated research reports for accuracy, relevance, data integrity, and clarity

Assess the correctness of experimental interpretations, statistical analyses, and research comparisons

Verify scientific tables, compound properties, and measurement data using reputable academic and public sources

Identify inconsistencies in methodology, data reporting, and scientific conclusions

Work independently to complete evaluations within deadlines

Maintain consistency and precision across all assigned tasks
Role Details
